Desert Fox Field Rules:
- Go to the op shed and sign in as soon as you arrive.
- All players must have a waiver on file stating that you or your legal guardian understands that this is a PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK field.
- Do not shoot in the staging area or parking lot. The staging area is the designated area between the op shed and the bathroom extending toward the parking lot.
- Eye Protection must meet ANSI Z87.1 or Higher Standards. Players under 16 must wear full face Paintball masks.
- FPS Limits: (.20 gram BBs +/- 2.5%)
- AEGs 400 FPS
- Semi-Automatic or Bolt Action Sniper Rifles 550 FPS
*Any weapon exceeding these limits will not be allowed on the field. Velocity reducers are not allowed.
- Snipers may not engage closer than 100 feet and are required to carry a sidearm to return fire within that radius.
- No Blind Fire! You must be behind your sites to discharge your weapon.
- No Shooting Through Cracks in the structures. This is considered blind fire. If it's a window, it will be an obvious window.
- Grenades and Rockets:
- No Decomissioned "Real Steel" Grenades
- Rubber Grenades or Special Purpose Airsoft Grenades only. All grenades are subject to field staff inspection.
- Grenades have a 10ft kill radius from where it stops.
- Rockets have a 25 foot kil radius from the point of impact.
- When you throw a grenade you must yell "Grenade" at an audible level.
- Ricochets from a proper BB shower count as a hit.
- When a grenade or rocket enters a building, it "kills" players in the room of impact or rest not the entire building.
- All rocket launchers, 203s, or grenade launchers are subject to inspection and authorization by field staff.
- Kills:
- Call your hits, when in doubt, you are hit, it's OK, and you're gonna be fine.
- One hit, One Kill a hit is any part of yourself or your gear.
- Friendly Fire Counts!
- Ricochets are not counted, except when applied by a proper BB Shower launcher.
- Gun Hits are not counted.
- If you are in the brush and a BB hits you through the brush, it is not a ricochet, you are dead.
- Do not call other peoples hits. If you feel someone is cheating, bring it up with fields staff. An arguement on the field will result in an immediate 1 for 1, you will both be declared dead.
- Parlé: (Pronounced; Par-Lay meaning "To Speak") -- When two or more players are engaged in a situation that at least one player feels is dangerous,
a player or observer of the situation may call Parlé. When Parlé is established, all players involved must disengage and retreat a minimum of 20 feet. Parlé is non-negotiable,
if a player calls Parlé all those involved must comply, on that note, call Parlé when you are certain of danger.
Players retreating from Parlé are still live players and may be engaged by players not involved in the Parlé, retreat with caution.
- Cold Kill: A cold kill may be called when you have another player "Dead to Rights." The player must have thier back to you and would otherwise be killed without warning should you discharge your weapon. When you are at an unsafe distance, you may simply say "Bang Bang" or otherwise indicate cold kill. If you are cold killed and startled to return fire, your assasin is not dead.
- Rubber Knives: Do not throw, stab, slash or otherwise strike another player with your knife. You may simply tap the player on the shoulder, or show them your knife when you sneak up on them.
- If you are Dead, you are Dead, walk off the field or to respawn silently, dead men cannot report the oppositions position, so niether can you.
- With the exception of the towers, do not climb on the buildings. You may however, climb in or out of windows.
